Aloe Blacc performing live for director Colin Solal Cardo's always interesting and ongoing music production known as A Take Away Show which takes place in random places with ambient sounds and foot traffic such as around the streets, restaurants and sidewalks of France, where Cardo main shoots.
Part I - Aloe Blacc performs Hey Brother and I Need A Dollar
This should be the theme song for those who want to lift the ludicrous federal ban on industrial hemp in the United States. When the album was released, it was used for California's Proposition 19 campaign to legalize recreational marijuana, which ultimately and unfortunately did not pass. But, a big thank you to Ziggy Marley for the effort and the song!
If you would like the federal government to lift the industrial hemp ban through the recently reintroduced Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2013, please call your U.S. Senators and demand they support S. 359 and call your Congressional rep in the U.S. House of Representatives and demand that they support H.R. 525 (the companion measure to S. 359 in the House of Representatives), which has been referred to two House Committees for additional consideration.
The infectious hot song of the day by the 22 year old artist known as Cali sounds like the cream from a James Bond soundtrack, and perhaps should be. Even the title, Fatally Yours, has a certain Bondesque quality. Enjoy!
Mavis, with The Staple Singers or on her own, is one of my personal favorite artists ever. Shot this photo of Mavis performing at a live show that full of major funk augmented with high gospel.
Here is a classic Mavis Staples performance that may be unknown to many. A rare gem of music with deep meaning.
It seriously is hard to get any off any more than this. Right? This is as real as real gets in rock & roll. They were not behind the times one little bit in 1969 with regards to music, how put on and record & film great concerts. Wow! Stellar footage from a great moment in time that still exists when Carlos Santana plays. Catch him if you can!
Stumbled on this via the Facebook page of Paul McCartney's guitarist Brian Ray, where one of Brian's followers posted it on Brian's page. Michael Province, violinist aged 15 at the time of this recording, and Nathan Chan, cellist aged 16 at the time of this recording, jam out to the Beatles song Let It Be. This was filmed at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore.
The U.K. based soul/R&B duo known as "Lady" features vocalists Nicole Wray and Terri Walker
Loving the soulful duo out of the U.K. known as "Lady". First posted their song titled Get Ready on Music Television early last month and I immediately bought the song download. After playing it at least a thousand times or more, I still love it! Don't typically repost songs already on MusicTelevision.Com right here, but hope everyone loves the classic old school energy Nicole Wray and Terri Walker put into this. It grooves for days. Definitely, this is R&B music at it's finest.
