Below is a live performance on Germany's WDR TV channel of Joe Robinson, a super gifted guitarist who also writes songs, sings and covers multiple genres of music.
This performance of Joe Robinson is at least over seven years old, but it's a timeless take of Misty, the jazz standard originally written by jazz pianist Erroll Garner in 1956. A fan of Robinson's, Joe Ardanillo, said the following of Robinson's playing on YouTube:
"That's Django Reinhardt, Atkins, Reed and Emmanuel all in one player. This is not showing off, this is a display of a deep love and understanding of both music and your instrument. Amazing!"

Here is a super good reggae act out of Tuscany, Italy, that calls themselves Earth Beat Movement, sometimes known as EBM. They are a five member group that was founded in 2012. EBM is fronted by a female lead singer named Irene “MisTilla” Bisori who sings mostly English lyrics and in some of the group's songs, blends Italian in.
In 2015, they booked their first official tour, performing in approximately 40 venues up & down Italy. Their future schedule includes shows around other parts of Europe including a show in Kranj, Slovenia on March 24, 2017 at TrainStation, followed by more shows in Italy, then Slovakia, Poland, and a show in Germany on December 26, 2017.
If you like positive reggae, this group might just suit your fancy. Enjoy!
It just doesn't get any cooler than this... A great blues record by the Rolling Stones titled Blue & Lonely, is a cover song record that gives tribute to some of their favorite blues influences... (see the music videos here)
But what also makes this album cool is this Mick Jagger interview by Naga Munchetty of BBC's Breakfast, where she pulls out a load of information that isn't normally so easily accessible... The multi-faceted women knows how to gets down to the nitty gritty with Mick Jagger, with grace & style.
All the questions and answers are what one would expect from greatness with a humble attitude. The final question by Naga is when she asks Jagger..."you have no regrets, do you?" and he says "I don't actually. No."
See the full interview between Naga and Mick Jagger below. Enjoy!
It is our distinct pleasure to feature two videos from Eric Clapton's latest and 23rd studio album titled I Still Do, followed by a video of Eric and the album's legendary producer, Glyn Johns, discussing the making of the record. Enjoy!

Here is a great Australian act that has a unique sound that they consider to be "future soul". Members include Naomi "Nai Palm" Saalfield on vocals & guitar, Paul Bender on bass, Simon Mavin on keyboards and Perrin Moss on drums & percussion.
The video below was filmed + produced by Ash Koek at a warehouse party at the Seed Factory in Clifton Hill, which is in Melbourne, Australia. Enjoy!
We are pleased to present a long time friend Kelly Moneymaker (a great session musician/producer/songwriter and member of the R&B group Exposé) and her new song titled Stone Butterfly from her latest album named Stone. The video was filmed by Christopher Michael McGann and Peter Reckell, live at Molly Malone's in Los Angeles, a legendary small music venue where many many greats have performed during their 40 years in business. Kelly Moneymaker is one very soulful Eskimo. She is backed by Herman Matthews (drums), Michael Mennell (bass), Gabriel Moses (guitar) with Guest Musicians Bill Churchville (trumpet), Terry Landry (sax), George Friedenthal (B3), Lynn Fanelli & KW Miller Backing Vocals. Enjoy!
Just below is a music video to a song that was love at first listen by a refreshing new artist onto our radar by the name of Jackie Bristow, who is originally from the deep South of New Zealand.
The song is titled Whistle Blowin' from Bristow's Shot of Gold album. The song feels like it should be a hit on CMT and Country Radio nationwide. The album was produced by Mark Punch and the beautifully shot music video was directed and produced by Mark Tierney.
A band simply known as Purple is a great hard rock trio that kills! And they know how to have fun while they do it. Hanna Brewer is on drums and vocals, Joe "Prankser" Cannariato is on bass guitar and Taylor Busby on guitar and vocals. They recently returned home to Texas fresh off their European tour of several sold out shows.
The very cool basic and raw live recording below perfectly captures the essence of the coolness of Purple and the shooters and audio engineers deserve a big thumbs up. It was filmed in Austin last year by a local Texas event website called Do512 with sponsorship from Bud Light. Purple exudes the kind of unadulterated pure energy that we love and we appreciate those who know how to capture those kind of moments so well. mlv

This is a heavy performance of Spanish recording artist, Carmen Paris, giving it her all. Singing with passion, she simultaneously straddles a djembe to serve up the beat.

MusicLoad first featured the surfer/musician/singer/songwriter Kim Churchill here in October 2012 with his fantastic live take of an original song he wrote titled Tides - (click here to hear/view) -
It's a great pleasure to have been following his travels since that time, as he has worked his way around the globe working non-stop. The cool thing about Churchill is that he knows how to enjoy the perks of world travel, as evidenced on his Facebook page and stream of photos that he shares.
Below is the latest well done live take video installment from Kim that was shot by the the U.K. based Mahogany Session blog. Enjoy!

After featuring the music of Antibalas, the band whose sound that is so heavily influenced by the late great Fela Kuti, it seemed logical to finally follow up with some more Fela Kuti himself. This is a live concert film of Fela in 1984 at Glastonbury, the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world to this day. This concert film also includes a segment/interview of Fela that not part of the music performance, but in a room somewhere, wearing what he wore on stage. He speaks candidly about his activism, various other thoughts and about his life as far back as a child. A great snapshot of a very interesting dead music legend whose music and spirit is still very much alive and influencing living artists with similar activist bents and heavy grooves. A MusicLoad favorite artist named Nneka quickly comes to mind. If you like afro funk music, this film is worthy of turning off the phone, turning up the volume knob, sitting back and watching.
This is just Trixie from Ghent, Belgium and her electric guitar playing her her own kind of funk. Trixie is amazing with her full band studio records, but her raw stripped down versions of songs like this one are always a great treat. They give more of a peek into her songwriting genius. This was filmed on January 8, 2013 at Studio Brussel, a Dutch-speaking radio station in Brussels, Belgium.
Just got back from an incredible Gaby Moreno record release party at Largo at The Coronet Theatre in Los Angeles where a capacity crowd was wowed by Gaby and her full band that included 5 violins, a cello, a string bass, electric bass with longtime bandmate Leslie Lowe, a trombonist woman who gave the music loads of character, a tenor sax man, two different pianists that included the fantastic Van Dyke Parks, a mandolin player at times, a backing/lead guitarist who shaped so much of the sound on many of the nights performances, a drummer (a very tasty one who happens to be Gaby's significant other, Sebastian Aymanns, a session/touring player also doing Europe with Lisa Marie Presley promoting her most recent record), and two perfect backing vocalists. Tasty is the word that best describes the musicianship and meticulous arrangements throughout the night. There was not one note or nuance that was out of place the entire evening. Even the buzz from the guitar cord and amplifier seemed to have it's own place like pops from a great vinyl record.
Van Dyke Parks, the truly amazing composer, arranger, musician, author and actor, well known for his collaborations and lyrical contributions to the Beach Boys album Smile, but who is so much deeper than even that, gushed over Gaby on several occasions and talked candidly about his desire to work with Gaby for several years. His performance with Gaby was beautiful and inspiring.
The wonderfully organic songs from her most recent all Spanish language album titled POSTALES were all mesmerizing. Gaby shared the stories behind each song as she went, practically bringing me to tears on more than one occasion through the night, such as the story behind a poem from that Gaby's grandfather wrote to her grandmother which was turned into a song by Gaby. Gaby told a story of how her grandfather was 58 and her grandmother was 18 when they married. A 40 year difference! Gaby also performed many of her past songs in both English and Spanish, as well as several standards and classics.
Gaby signed autographs for a very long line of fans for close to two full hours. Perhaps not anticipating the strong demand, all of the boxes of her CD's and posters that were brought to the show sold out early. Whoever said CD's are dead never went to a Gaby Moreno show. Several in the crowd were a bit disappointed when they were unable to buy a CD to have it personally signed. But Gaby took the time to hug each and every fan and took what seemed like a few thousand photos. This girl knows what it means to be a true star, which she most certainly is.
Gaby Moreno - Ave que Emigra (from album titled Postales)
While I loved every single song Gaby performed, the one that was the most poignant or important in my mind was The Immigrant, a cover by Calypso artist David Rudder. Especially during this political season, where the political candidates would surely pander to artists like Gaby to use her recording of Rudders song in their campaigns to prove they are immigrant friendly. Gaby knows and exuded the actual meaning of the song and it's importance and place in the American fabric. I'd hope Gaby would flip politicians the bird if they tried to attach their political campaigns to it, but she's far too gracious for that, even if she knew they were pandering. It just so happens that Barack Obama personally follows Gaby Moreno on Twitter. But Gaby's music is embraced by people across every spectrum, political and otherwise. The passion Gaby emitted when she laid The Immigrant down with her full band was inspiring and heartfelt. Bravissimo to Gaby for delivering this song the way she did. She is a great story teller and has proved she can deliver social commentary in a deeply meaningful way.
Gaby Moreno - The Immigrant (Unplugged recording from a performance on Treble Clef Live)
Gaby also performed one of her songs, Sing Me Life, a passionate anthem that could mean something different to everyone. Makes me think of not backing down from people and the cheap patriotism and jingoism that perpetuates war and government misdeeds. Long ago, when this song was released, it made me sit back, think and stay focused without being influenced by the status quo. This song can be a personal anthem for those seeking reinforcement in staying true and original.
There is one more thing to mention. After one hears this next song, which Gaby performed all by her lonesome which drove into the encore, one may be whistling it in the mind over and over. It was one of the most delightful moments of the evening that always takes me to a place that feels like a scene out of Woody Allen's film Midnight in Paris. The film which came out in 2011 had me thinking of Gaby almost the entire time I watched it debut. Too bad Woody Allen didn't know of Gaby yet, for he most certainly would have put her in the cast.
