Billy Preston

Billy Preston wrote this song with two other writers, and he was the first to record it and release it, just before Joe Cocker covered and released it slightly later in the same year and was credited for making the song famous. This recording by Billy Preston is such a beautiful heartfelt authentic recording. It was the 6th track on Billy's 11th record, The Kids & I, released in 1974.

It was such a cool thing to film Billy Preston live, performing at the China Club pro jams in the 1990's, where I was the exclusive videographer. I have some dope ass footage. The dude was full of rare energy that always brought the room to higher life. Will post at some point. Stay tuned.

Sara Bareilles - Gonna Get Over You

I hate nepotism, unless of course, we are talking about one of my friends. Ha Ha.... Sara Bareilles is not just a friend of mine, she is one of my customers too.... And, I love her and all of her music. AND..... She has a great sense of humor and is super duper humble and cool, as is evident in the video.

Salt Petal - an indie living room recoding in the raw

Came across indie music video producer Elliot Glass on YouTube a while back and immediately loved his films of LA indie bands shot in what seems to be various living rooms. He has amassed numerous of great recordings. His crew at Little Videos records the sound beautifully and the photography/video work is pretty darned good and always fits.
